Storm 11 Feb 2012
A very severe storm hit the caravan park and environs on Saturday. Graham went around the Park after the storm to check the state of the trees and property. Those people with obvious damage to their property were contacted by email and photos sent.
We had a couple of trees come down on the park, the boom gate was damaged, ice piled up in front of the office, lots of leaves and small branches all over the Park and the parts of the River road coming to the place had fallen trees over them. Some people coming to the Park after the storm had to move the trees out of the way so that they could get here. The tree contractors were kept very busy. We were able to get one as an emergency to check on a dangerously leaning tree with broken branches which had to be cut down. Our regular tree contractor came shortly after to check and attend to all the other trees. |

_The council pickup was a success, especially that this year we had the opportunity to store unwanted furniture and other goods undercover in one of the sheds prior to pickup. It made a big difference to the organisation.
We are open to suggestions from site holders about when you want the next council cleanup. We are allowed 2 a year. |
