October (Quarter 2) site fees due
The site and other set fees are due by 14th October for this quarter. If you cannot find your annual invoice please email me and I will send another one.
Repairs or Renovations
This is a reminder to everyone that any major renovation must be in line with current council requirements, in particular for size and mobility. If you plan any construction or renovation you must check with council to see if the work requires approval. Please also note that additions or major alterations require my permission first before you draw up plans or apply to council.
For much older units it is unlikely that you will be allowed to "extend" them if the extension does not comply with current regulations or if such an extension exceeds the permissible size. Changes to older units should be in the nature of a repair or replacement which updates the existing on a "like for like" basis. |
Hawkesbury Canoe Classic
The Hawkesbury Canoe Classic is on Sat 26th and Sun 27th October. The course is 11km long, from Windsor to Brooklyn. It is the 4th longest annual canoe race in Australia. The canoe classic website states:
"The race was originally run overnight to take advantage of the calmer weather conditions and the lighter traffic on the river. It also allowed the slower paddlers to make those last painful strokes in daylight. What the organisers did not realise when they made this decision was that the beauty and magic of paddling in moonlight would far outweigh any of their practical reasons for running the event overnight."
